Prairie Receives Grant August 30, 2005 Prairie is pleased to announce the receipt of a $240,000 grant from the Bridgeway Foundation to cover the start-up costs of the new Prairie College of Applied Arts and Technology. “We are excited about the anticipated launch of the Prairie College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Fall of 2006 and we are thankful for the support we have received from the Bridgeway Foundation who is helping to cover the costs associated with the success of this launch,” Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, President of PBI. The Prairie College of Applied Arts and Technology (PCAAT) will be a second college under the parent umbrella of Prairie Bible Institute. The purpose of PCAAT is to enable the Body of Christ to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ by providing strategic vocational programming that is wedded to a Biblical curriculum that provides a sufficient level of Biblical and theological competency to enable graduates to be engaged in the ministries of a congregation as it serves as a local manifestation of the Church or as it fulfills its calling to the ministry of reconciliation through the administration of the message of the Gospel around the world. “We wish Prairie great success and look forward to hearing about the accomplishments of PCAAT as it moves towards a launch next fall. We delight in partnering with Prairie in making a positive contribution to our world,” Mr. Mark Petersen, Executive Director for the Bridgeway Foundation.
