Prairie Hosting Tony Campolo January 10, 2005 In cooperation with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) and World Vision Canada, PRAIRIE’s President is pleased to announce that the Bible College campus in Three Hills, Alberta will be the host site for “Ignite the Light” a Celebration 2005 event at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 24, 2005. “We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and World Vision in Celebration 2005. Because of the foundational role of the Body of Christ in our purpose as a college we anticipate a ripple effect to occur nationally. Celebration 2005 is going to be a wonderful catalyst for the Church in Canada to fulfill its mission and purpose” - Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, President, PRAIRIE. The intent of Celebration 2005 is to challenge local churches to creatively and tangibly extend love and compassion through acts of service within their communities. EFC has identified the window of May 21 – June 12, 2005 to encourage churches to schedule activities in their communities across the country. Internationally respected Christian commentator and sociologist, Dr. Tony Campolo will challenge Canadians to acts of social compassion. Ignite the Light is an evening event featuring the humorous antics of Phil Callaway, a 32 piece Salvation Army Band from Glenmore Temple, the musical talent of Canadian Gospel Music Award winner Raylene Scarrott and worship led by experienced music leaders from participating churches. The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada will be on hand to provide more detailed information and assist churches toward discovering a significant and tangible way to participate in Celebration 2005.
