Program Description
The Business Administration Program at Prairie College of Applied Arts & Technology (PCAAT) offers students the opportunity to gain a broad set of business administration skills designed to prepare Christian men and women to become proficient professionals for the various ministry marketplace contexts to which God may lead. This program is for students who would like to pursue a career in business and are interested in both domestic and international ministry, missions and marketplace opportunities.

Students develop an understanding of modern and global business dynamics and learn how to fit into culturally diverse organizations. Students will hone leadership skills and be better prepared to work well under pressure. In this two year program, students will gain an introductory knowledge of business concepts that will enable you to gain employment in entry-level management positions in business, industry, mission organizations and NGOs.

Business & Ministry
The public workplace is one of the greatest mission fields a student can enter. They are called to marketplace ministry to daily reflect Christ in relationships and through business excellence. Christian business leaders are also needed globally. Whether working in entrepreneurial pursuits, a mission organization, NGO, or business as mission, business competence is needed in a wide variety of roles. Prairie's desire is to prepare students to have a head for business but a heart for the world.

Transferability
This program provides students with transferability to degree programs and professional designations after graduation. Please consult the Guide for Prospective Students or contact the PCAAT Dean's Office for further details.

Admissions Requirements
For complete details on PCAAT admissions requirements, please click here. Besides the general requirements, note the specific Business Administration requirements below.

• 60% in English 30-1 or 30-2 or Grade 12 equivalent
• 60% in Math 30 (Pure or Applied) or Grade 12 equivelant

OR:

• Successful completion of the General Equivalency Development
test (GED) with a standard score of 520 in Language Arts: Reading and Writing, and 550 in Math

Transfer Credit Request
Students wishing to transfer into the program who have completed some college or university, may receive transfer credit for up to 7 courses (21 credits). These credits may transfer in place of Bible, Theology, Spiritual Formation and/or the General studies portions of the program. Students may instead substitute other courses offered on campus, up to 7 courses (21 credits), instead of receiving transfer credit. For complete details please contact the Admissions Office.

The 2010-2011 fees for the Business Administration Diploma program are (fees are per semester and are subject to change):
