Program Overview
Prairie's BACS program will equip you to:
- Clearly articulate the basic Christian doctrines and biblical themes.
- Develop a Christ-centered world view in which you can clearly discern that all truth is God's truth.
- Maximize your contribution within the Church and secular society.
- Exhibit foundational knowledge of major fields within the humanities and social sciences.
- Successfully conduct research into a particular field of interest under one-on-one consultation with a faculty member.
- Analyze issues and current events in liberal arts disciplines from a Christian perspective.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Clearly communicate the Christian message to people in a variety of social and cultural situations.
Expanded Opportunities
Your Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies degree offers a high degree of transferability and forms an excellent foundation from which to pursue professional studies and a career in law, education, journalism, social work, or service with missions and other para-church organizations. Graduate-level studies in Arts, Divinity or Christian studies are also popular options.
