Education
Craig studied piano with Bonnie Becker (ARCT) for seven years, and continued studying piano, music history, harmony and counterpoint with Cameron Watson (B.Mus, M.Mus) at the Medicine Hat Cultural Centre. he completed his Grade 9 piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Background
Craig Learmont is an experienced musician who plays bass, drums, and keyboards in jazz, country, gospel, pop, and rock genres.
Craig has successfully operated his own home based recording studio, MuzikHaus, in Medicine Hat for the past six years. During that time he produced the Alberta Recording Industry Association's 1999 Gospel Artist of the Year; Carol Lynn Friesen for her "Time and Eternity" recording. He is now the new owner of the Whitehouse Recording Company in Three Hills. He has been an adjunct instructor for Prairie's Recording and Sound Reinforcement program since 2002.
Involvement at Prairie
He loves playing music, tennis, biking, skiing, and spending time with his wife Teresa, and daughters Lynae and Alison.
