Future Students
Biographical/Background Information Sylvia spent seventeen years in Kalimantan, Indonesia (Borneo) ministering alongside her husband, Darrel, in church planting, leadership development and field administration. After losing their visas to Indonesia in 1993 they retooled and for twelve years served their World Team colleagues throughout South East Asia as pastoral care workers/counsellors. In addition to Indonesia, Sylvia has lived in the Philippines, Singapore and Canada. She loves the challenge of learning about and engaging other cultures. Involvement at Prairie & in Community Sylvia enjoys hosting an Explore team for its Wednesday night Impact Group and loves to mentor students. She occasionally has a chance to do some counseling in the community through her church, Mt. Olive Evangelical Free Church. She is a member of the Management Team of Cross Training, Prairie's partner in the Intercultural Studies Program.
