Background
Vernon was born in China and spent his childhood in Three Hills. After
pursuing studies in English literature and music at the University of
Alberta, he joined the Prairie Fine Arts faculty where he has taught since
1986. Vernon has a passion to see cultures throughout the world express
their worship of God with their own music. He plays the piano and has
built his own harpsichord and harp which he plays in Prairie and community music
productions.
Involvement at Prairie
Vernon is active in the worship life of his church as well as in the chapels at Prairie. He has recruited and trained musicians for cross-cultural ministry in various parts of the world.
