Background

James grew up as a missionary kid in Germany until the end of High School. After High School, he spent a year at Capernwray in England, then attended Wheaton College for two years. He then transferred to the University of Calgary where he finished a degree in Secondary Education with a minor in History. James then moved to Three Hills where he started as a Social Studies teacher at Prairie High School, met his wife (another teacher there) and ended up as Principal. James then returned to school to obtain his MA in History and has been teaching History at Prairie Bible College ever since. Besides his scholarly interests in the History of Modern Evangelical Christianity, he enjoys playing and coaching sports, particularly volleyball and soccer.
