Purpose

The position of Campus Visit Coordinator exists in order to improve the effectiveness of recruiting new students.  Specifically, the person works closely with the other members of the Admissions Team to implement strategies and initiatives in order achieve shared recruitment objectives.  The primary goals are to increase and coordinate prospective student on-campus experiences and to provide information to these prospective students while on-campus. 

 

Responsibilities

  • To positively represent Prairie Bible Institute, in order to recruit well-qualified students to the school;
  • Plan and implement Prairie’s campus visitation programs;
  • Manage the volunteer student host program (“A – Team”)
  • Take calls from prospective students and respond to their needs/inquiries;
  • Conduct and/or coordinate prospective student interviews on campus, either scheduled or “walk-in”;
  • Identify and actively pursue follow-up of inquiries already received by phone, letter and internet;
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment-oriented events and programs on campus;
  • Conduct campus tours;
  • Coordinate airport shuttle services with appropriate drivers (A-Team, AA’s, Full-time staff)
  • Process all incoming admissions documents.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics, experience and talents:

  1. Supports Prairie’s Community Covenant;
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience (familiarity with theological education would be an asset);
  3. Demonstrates commitment to providing outstanding customer service;
  4. Is very conversant with issues related to student life;
  5. Must have a proven record of tact and diplomacy and excellent communication skills;
  6. Ability to bring ingenuity and creativity to tasks and problem solving;
  7. Must have the ability to be highly organized, with a high attention to detail;
  8. Be a self-motivated, “team player”;
  9. Familiarity with personal computers and MS Office software.
