HR Director

PURPOSE

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Director of Physical Plant.  The Maintenance Technician applies established standards and methods to the maintenance and repair of structures, equipment, and grounds, according to Alberta Provincial Codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Installing & Repairing windows
2. Framing and Finishing work
3. Many types of wall repair
4. Facility Maintenance – roofing, concrete,
5. Furniture repair
6. Flooring installation
7. Plumbing repairs
8. Minor electrical repairs
9. Welding
10. Other relevant duties or tasks as assigned
11. Assist other Multi Techs as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Unreserved commitment to Prairie’s mission, doctrinal position, and standards.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to directly and indirectly supervise a large number staff; ability to motivate staff to accomplish Prairie’s ministry vision; and the ability to provide strong visionary leadership, using tact and sound judgment.
3. Must be able to be able to work unsupervised
4. Be a team player
5. Carpentry, renovations, plumbing, etc.
6. Must have good safety skills
7. Grade 12 education.
8. Experienced in diverse areas of facility maintenance (Carpentry, plumbing, renovations, etc.)
9. Trade ticket would be an asset.
10. Must have valid drivers license.
