Prairie Performing Arts & Worship Faculty Member Honoured by AppointmentJune 28, 2007 This summer Prairie Performing Arts & Worship faculty member Jamie Hillman is serving at Camp of the Woods, an evangelical Christian Resort and Conference Center in upstate New York. As part of a summer staff of 250 people, Jamie will be joining the music staff of 34 talented Christian musicians who are actively recruited not only for their musicianship, but also for their desire to spend a summer integrating their faith with their musical career ambitions Jamie will be joining the camp as The Worship Leader, lead tenor in the vocal ensemble and as vocal rehearsal coordinator. Camp of the Woods (COTW) hosts approximately one thousand guests each week. The music staff (8 singers and 26 instrumentalists) performs in 2 concerts, one sacred concert, one classical recital, and 7 chapel services each week. Music staff are mostly graduate music majors and professionals from North America and Europe. The recruiting process is highly competitive, and only people who would be considered to be within the top 5% of their peers are recruited. Jamie has been hired into a leadership position within an extraordinarily talented musical ensemble.Camp of the Woods is a high profile Christian organization, and we are excited that Jamie will bring exposure and visibility to Prairie Bible College through his involvement.Additional information about Camp of the Woods can be found at www.camp-of-the-woods.org .
