Encounter | Certificate in Bible

A 1-Year Program (30 credits)

This foundational year of Bible is designed to immerse students in the Bible by integrating excellent classroom instruction with experiential application and spiritual reflection. Faculty will walk with you as you come to know Scripture in new and exciting ways, giving you the confidence to know what it says and view the world in light of it.

Through classes, experiences and Impact Groups, (small communities of discipleship) your faith will be strengthened for whatever is next. If you decide to continue at Prairie this first year will transfer into any of Prairie's two and four-year degree programs.

BT 101 Reading the Bible in the 21st Century
NT 111 The Gospels
OT 111 Genesis through Deuteronomy
TH 100 Introduction to Christian Theology
NT 119 Luke & Acts
ST 100-01 The Christian Life

Arts & Sciences Core (6 credits)
HF 111 Thinking and Writing
SS 170 Christianity in the 21st Century

Electives (6 credits)
2 elective courses

Notes:
1) Students considering transferring into a bachelor's degree program should choose courses required for the BA program.
2) This program starts in the middle of August and runs until the end of April. Contact our Admissions Office for specific dates.

Certificate in Bible by Prairie Distance Education

On this schedule tuition fees are based on 15 credits/semester.

 

College Services Fees include:

Student Union, printing, fitness, intra-mual, technology, library, orientation, graduation & spiritual formation fees.
