Background
I was born and raised in Southern Alberta but have lived and/or worked in Europe, Africa, South America, Asia and the USA. I am moderately fluent in French and Spanish. I have about 25 years of teaching experience in a variety of contexts spanning from early elementary classes to Master’s degree courses and through institutions in several countries. My work background besides teaching has been in retail management, nonprofit administration and IT contracting, training and consulting.
I married Lori in 1987, and we have lived and served together on three continents and in some unique ways: host family for single pregnant girls, tentmakers in Venezuela, bi-vocational pastoring in Miami, and host family for asylum-seeking refugees. God has also blessed us with four daughters (Laurelyn, Stefani, Katarina, Donnel), two son-in-laws (Sam and Josh) and one grand-daughter (so far).
I love to watch sports, walk and exercise, and dream of having time to fish and perhaps even hunt.
My calling is primarily based on 1 Corinthians 9:22b “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.”
