Rocky Alliance Church Children’s Director
Position Type: Full-Time Reports To: Lead Pastor
The childrens director is a member of the pastoral team at Rocky Alliance Church, and is called
to minister in accordance with the constitution and bylaws of the C&MA.

The right candidate will be someone who is wholeheartedly in agreement with the vision and
mission of Rocky Alliance Church.
Job Summary: The Children’s Director will oversee the spiritual development and discipleship
of children (birth through 5th grade) within our church, while also leading outreach efforts to
engage families in our community. This position requires a passion for teaching biblical truth,
developing young disciples, and fostering relationships with children, parents, and volunteers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Discipleship & Spiritual Development:
• Develop and implement a Christ-centered discipleship program for children.
• Ensure all teaching materials align with Scripture.
• Equip and train volunteers to effectively disciple children in their faith journey.
• Partner with parents by providing resources and support for spiritual leadership in the
home.
Outreach & Evangelism:
• Develop and lead outreach initiatives to connect with children and families in the local
community.
• Organize special events, such as Vacation Bible School, community festivals, and service
projects, to reach unchurched families.
• Foster relationships with local schools and community organizations to expand gospel
impact.
Ministry Leadership & Administration:
• Recruit, train, and oversee a team of volunteers for children’s ministry programs.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for children by maintaining security
procedures and background checks.
• Oversee the selection and implementation of biblically sound curriculum.
• Manage the children’s ministry budget responsibly.
• Coordinate with church leadership to ensure children’s ministry aligns with the overall
vision of the church.
Qualifications & Skills:
• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to children’s ministry.
• Agreement with the church’s doctrinal statement and commitment to it’s vision and
mission.
• Experience in children’s ministry leadership within a church setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with children, parents, and volunteers.
• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
